b'community real estateAs an urgent response to rapid displacement, 黑料社吃瓜s Community Real Estate program has preserved and produced over 2,157 affordable housing units from 2014 to 2023.Highlights in 2023 include:681 FLORIDA STREETWe hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of a new 100% affordable housing building for 130 households that now serves 319 low-income residents, including 30% of whom were previ-ously unhoused.1979 MISSION STREETAlong with partner Mission Housing, we were selectedasthedevelopersofthislong-vacant,three-buildingproperty that is now expected to provide approximately 400 new homes for hun-dreds of low-income and previously unhoused familiesmaking it one of the largest, 100% affordable housing projects in San Francisco. It took 10 yearsofcommunityorganizingtoensurethispropertycouldbecome affordable housing. Its the Marvel of the Mission. 2205 MISSION STREETWe were awarded $12 million from the Mayors Office of Housing and Community Development to build 63 affordable two- and three-bedroom units for SFUSD teachers, in response to rampant educator displacement from the City. By contrast, when this property was initially placed for sale, it was priced to become luxury housing. These long-term projects are a testament to our communitys resilience and unified mission to retain the people and culture of the Missionwhat we call cultural placekeepingamidst the Bay Areas housing crisis.6'
