It took 10 yearsofcommunityorganizingtoensurethispropertycouldbecome affordable housing. Its the Marvel of the Mission. 2205 MISSION STREETWe were awarded $12 million from the Mayors Office of Housing and Community Development to build 63 affordable two- and three-bedroom units for SFUSD teachers, in response to rampant educator displacement from the City. By contrast, when this property was initially placed for sale, it was priced to become luxury housing. These long-term projects are a testament to our communitys resilience and unified mission to retain the people and culture of the Missionwhat we call cultural placekeepingamidst the Bay Areas housing crisis.6'
